Welcome to Dallas The Emerald City!

                                                                                     Home of Super Bowl XLV!!

Dallas Gay Pride Parade will be on September 19, 2010.

The performing arts and architectural community in Dallas is going through a true renaissance!

Sure Dallas has multiple venues around the city. From the billion dollar Dallas Cowboys Stadium to intimate concert halls and wonderful neighborhood theatres, and great local art studios, and of course, the art-deco treasures of Fair Park, it’s also home to the largest state fair in America.

However, the newest cultural, and magnificently designed architectural gems are located in the largest arts districts in America. They are all within walking distance of each other and all are accessible by rail or trolley!

From the Dallas Museum of Art to the World-renowned Myerson Symphony Center to the Nasher Sculpture Center and Winspear Opera House, The Dee and Charles Wyly Theatre and, the Annette Strauss Artist Square to the Crow Collection of Asian Art and Sammons Park and the new Park Dallas that will joins all of these magnificent buildings and open spaces together under one name, The new AT&T Performing Arts Center

While in downtown Dallas you must check out Victory Park, Dallas’s version of Times Square and the new American Airlines Center. There are giant rolling TV screens that are fun to watch you can also checkout live local news broadcasts. Once you have spent some time in the arts district its fun to catch a ride on the McKinney Avenue Trolley and head to the Uptown area of Dallas. The route has many trendy shops and restaurants along the way that makes for an exciting day. Feel free to stop anywhere along the line as all the stops are in a gay friendly part of town. The Trolley takes you past the Four Seasons and the Crescent Court Hotel & shops and ends at the West Village for some exciting shopping or coffee break (starbucks) From there it is a short taxi ride to the heart of Oak Lawn and that is where most of the gay bars are located. A convenient hotel on the corner of Cedar Springs & Oak Lawn Blvd. is called the Warwick Melrose Hotel its within walking distance to all the Gay & Lesbian bars, shops and restaurants on Cedar Springs Road.

Dallas is also enjoying the redevelopment of its Trinity River corridor with a chain of urban lakes and parks and the Great Trinity Forest, one of the largest urban forests in America. In addition, there is the 40 story Spanish Architect Santiago Calatrava designed Margaret Hunt-Hill suspension bridge and other signature bridges that will cross its expanse. Dallas is truly a Vibrant and exciting city with a nightlife that is sure to please, we dont call it Big D for nothing!
